Google Sites only allows a maximum attachment capacity of 100 mb. If we plan on uploading media like pictures, powerpoint presentations, and guides, these documents will probably eat up space.
Does anybody have any suggestions for solving this potential space issue?
(one way to get around this is to post download links for files that link to an entirely different site: we could then create a new "warehouse" site for every 100 mb we require...)

I think for pictures, we can just set up a Flickr, Picasa or Photobucket account, which I'd be happy to start.
But for PPTs and stuff like that, I'm not sure yet. Unless we can find a free private file server, or something of that sort, we'll probably just deal with 100 MB or pay money for a server. :/

I asked Mr. Williams a couple days ago about this issue, cuz there are a lot of photos to come. He says that we should be fine for now, and we should ask Google to upgrade our storage for free because we already use a bunch of their software. But right now, I think we can make do with improvised file sharing sites etc.
As long as the links are provided.

update: there is a picassa web album now (see photo gallery) and we figured that we'll just ask Google for a larger space when we give them our grant letter. if problem persists after that, lets revisit this topic
